As
a celebration for the WORLD'S TOURISM DAY, the Sri Lankan Tourist Board
had organised programs all over Sri lankan tourist areas, and one of the
most famous would be Hikkaduwa. The event took place on the 30th of September
2009, and to start off the day, with the voluntary support of 150 locals
who helped in cleaning the beach - The idea was bought forward to the
tourist board HTSPA (hikkaduwa tourist service providers association)
be noticed to the town to join in.
The evening's
event was colorful at the Hotel Coral Gardens to promote Sri lankan Tradition
and Culture amongst tourists. The whole event was free for tourists who
wished to join in for the fun! To know more about the event,
